5 Ways to Have the Best Weekend Ever

Hello and happy Friday friends! Before taking off for the weekend (and the mountain of wedding related to-dos that I need to complete), I thought it might be nice to gather up a few surefire ways that you might like to use to make your weekend especially grand. Oh…and if you haven’t already entered for your chance to win 5 gallons of paint from Sherwin-Williams, hop on over to my post right here and do it now! The giveaway ends this Sunday…don’t miss out! See you next week! xo Ez

1. Bake cookies and make a party out of it! Try these Honeycomb Sugar Cookies or The Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies (if you want to get “fancy,” offer guests ice cream to sandwich between their cookies! Yum!)

2. Host an ice cream social…and use these Free Printable Watermelon Cone Wrappers for an extra festive touch! You could even make a Watermelon Pinata to go along with them!

3. Make something pretty…just because, like these Pansy and Dahlia Fabric Flowers

4. Plant something indoors, such as this fabulous Tabletop Cactus Garden. Or plant an assortment of succulents inside these DIY Metallic Geometric Planters

5. Sleep in and do absolutely nothing with the aid of a pretty DIY Sleep Mask

It’s the first official day of Fall…woooweee! To celebrate I thought I’d share a little round up of goodies I found from around the web this week, as well as a few of yours (and my) favorite Creature Comforts highlight just in case you missed them. Enjoy your weekend everyone! xo Ez

  1. I love the idea of dressing found natural objects in vintage doilies like the branches in this gorgeous installation at Merci (photos taken by Thank You, Ok). Wouldn’t they make such a great seasonal statement in your home?!
  2. More French goodness with this adorable ensemble from style blogger Coline. Très chic!
  3. I’ve been a big fan of the Love Mae reusable fabric decal company since they first opened their virtual doors…and their new Pantry Label Set is no exception. You can win a set for yourself in a recipe guessing contest they are running through September 28th right here. Special tip: the recipes you’re guessing on are all vegan. Good luck!
  4. Amazing Art Made with Milk from Evie S. | I am so doing this and then photographing the heck out the process. Looks like a blast!

And this week on Creature Comforts:
