The Return of Blackberry Season

blackberry-summer-2Around here we eagerly await the arrival of blackberry season; watching for signs of ripening fruit like it’s a competitive sport. Today the neighborhood brambles yielded their first berries, and we are positively giddy thinking about all the recipes that we will soon be sinking our teeth into. I think we’ll be starting things of with some of the recipes shared in The Ultimate Blackberry Recipe Roundup that I put together last year!     Here in Vermont we’re picking wild red raspberries and black raspberries (they make great jam). Our blackberries will ripen a bit later than yours! Are blueberries grown in your area? I’ve yet to meet a berry that I didn’t like…
