My Sister’s Wedding Flowers

You guys…my little sister is married!! Her big day took place last Monday in the beautiful San Miguel Mission, and it was was a magical occasion filled with laughter, smiles, and tears of joy. I had the honor of arranging all of her ceremony and reception flowers with stunning blooms from my friends at Flower Muse.

When all was said and done there were over 30 table arrangements, 11 bouquets, 14 boutonnières and corsages, as well as flowers for the cake and the church. Needless to say, it was a big job, but I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything. At the end of the day my sister was absolutely thrilled with how everything came together, and I couldn’t have asked for better flowers to work with than the ones provided by Flower Muse. Now I’m going to let these snapshots that I took (and few words) do the rest of the talking.

In a few weeks, I’m hoping to share a post with photographs captured by the incredible photographer Jennifer Young. Those are going to be stunning (I already got a sneak peek…shhh)!

Be sure to stop by tomorrow…I’ll be sharing tips on how to wire succulents for use in bouquets and arrangements, as well as a quick DIY succulent boutonnières like ones I made for all the guys (but neglected to capture in action…bummer). See you then! xo Ez

Oh how I love the addition of the succulents. They add so much and are often overlooked. The colors are just beautiful.

I can’t even find adequate words to express how gorgeous your floral arrangements, bouquets, etc. turned out! The succulents add that little hint of pale green that “grounds” everything so beautifully!

I love seeing more hearty flora in wedding bouquets! The succulents add a wonderful touch of green without using fillers.

I had beautiful protea alongside more traditional flowers in my wedding bouquet; I just loved the black feathery accents they had and they definitely added something special to my blooms.

Congrats to your beautiful sister! From your photos, it seems that her day was just magical! (And congrats to you for pulling off such a big job! The flowers are stunning!)

Ez, I can not even describe the beauty of your floral arrangements. The flowers were beautiful: the skill and creativity you supplied made the arrangements breath-taking. I know you worked long, long hours along with your beautiful daughter Kiah (sp?) as your assistant. Everyone I show the photos to comments on how lovely the flowers are: well, after they comment on Sean & Fiona of course :) Thank you for making the day extra special for my son and his beautiful bride.
