I can hardly believe that another one of my little sisters is getting married! Next Monday, she and her fiance be wedded in a beautiful mission here in California. As you know, we’ve been hard at work on some fun DIY elements for their big day. However, the largest DIY statement by far will be the floral arrangement that I’ll be creating with gorgeous blooms from Flower Muse. You might remember that I worked with Flower Muse on my second sister’s wedding last Summer. We were so thrilled with the quality of their flowers and the attentive service that they provide, that I knew I’d have to ask them to work with me again for this sister’s wedding. Luckily they said yes, and so a bounty of peonies, garden, roses, succulents and more will be arriving at my doorstep in just a few days time! Yippy!
So today I thought it would be fun to share the mood board that I created to inspire the florals for my sister’s big day. We’re envisioning an abundance of soft pastel pinks and peaches, ruffles upon ruffles of petals, and succulents and dusty miller for a pop of minty green throughout. I’ll be sharing more sneak peeks of the process (mid-wedding) over on my Instagram feed, and then I have one big giant post planned following the wedding so that you can see how everything comes together! I can’t wait!
The floral ingredients for my sister’s wedding flowers include: Blush Peonies | Light Pink Garden Rose – Keira | Peach Garden Rose – Juliet | White Garden Rose – Alabaster | White Majolica Spray Rose | White Anemone | Baby’s Breath | Dusty Miller | available by request | Succulents
And lastly, before I dive back into my wedding prep to-do list I wanted to share this Free Floral Photoshop Brush Set that I created by drawing the flowers that we’ll be using (I drew them using flowers directly from the Flower Muse website). For non-commercial use only please. Download the brushes using the button below. If you need any tips on using Photoshop brushes, I have written a post with general tips that you might find helpful. Enjoy! xo Ez
