The Week of Thanks: Day 1 – Saying Thank You

printablethankyou-melissaesplinFree Thank You Card Printable from Melissa Esplin

Hello lovelies! It’s wonderful to have such a diverse group of readers like you, who hail from countries all over the world. Thank you for being here!

Later this week, many of us here in the US will be celebrating Thanksgiving. Regardless of whether you will be celebrating the holiday or not, what better time than this week (before all the holiday madness ensues) to slow down just a bit…spend time with our families creating memories, reflect upon all the things that we have to be so fortunate for, and maybe even give back a little bit.

So, over the next few days I’d love for you to join me on a little mission of giving thanks. It’s The Week of Thanks!

Ready?! Let’s start off today by printing this stellar Free Thank You Card Printable by Melissa Esplin (or you can use your favorite stationery) and writing a note of gratitude to someone who makes your life better. Maybe it’s a close (or distant) family member, a beloved teacher that you haven’t seen in years…or even the postal worker who always greets you with a smile. You don’t have to be a poet in order to share a bit of gratitude. A gesture of thanks is always appreciated, and you never know just how much it could mean. Alright…let’s do this thang! xo Ez

P.S. I’d love to hear about who you are feeling grateful for in your life. Who will your “thank you” notes be sent off to? Share below.

P.P. S. I’ll be back tomorrow with another simple challenge for The Week of Thanks. Hope to see you then!

Oh I so love how many lovely holidays you have in America. Nobody celebrates Thanksgiving here in Norway and I think it’s such a pity. Why not celebrate the things we are thankful for?

I sure know what I’m thankful for this year. After losing my husband to cancer in january, I’ve really come to realize how important it is to appreciate your life and the people in it. I’m thankful for my entire family, but mostly I’m thankful for my beautiful two year old daughter who lights up my day and gives me a reason to stay happy and positive in life.

I’ll thank a friend, who is sadly far away from me… He’s like my brother, I love him soooo much !
I like the idea of a week of thanks and the card is beautiful, thanks !

We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in The Netherlands but I totally agree. I try to be grateful everyday also with the bad things that happen. Maybe I just need to pick a moment on my own to show my friends en family how grateful I am with their loving support with a sweet card like this one.

    Happy thanksgiving to you all!

Thanksgiving is here already and it will be gone before we even notice it. In the midst of this busy time of everyone’s life, I would like to say THANK YOU for: Seasonal Changes: Which is always a perfect reminder that we aren’t in control …. some days here in Florida are sunny and bright, and some are rainy and windy like today……so let’s be a very grateful for what is given us everyday!
    xx, Lana

I am so grateful for my friend, Boo. We live 100 miles apart. So when I told her about how ill my adult daughter was and how I have been caring for her round the clock for weeks she understood how exhausted I was. She wanted to help by cooking us a meal. Since that wasn’t possible, she ordered us pizza and had it delivered! That was such a blessing!

EZ, thanks so much for featuring my printable!

I couldn’t agree more with your words. I feel like it’s so important to slow down (maybe even more so now that things always seem to go a million miles with social media and blogs) and give thanks. I know I need to be better at sending words of thanks to others who serve my family and me.

I hope your holiday was filled with great food and lots of love!

Gorgeous! Giving thanks is a practice that is so often forgotten… thank you for reminding us (and in such a pretty fashion)
