It’s taken a while, but I’m finally almost done unpacking our belongings (just a few minor boxes left) and thought I’d share a couple of pictures of how I’ve been organizing, along with a couple peeks at some illustrations I’ve been working on.
I hung this Landscape Painting by Russell Leng above my sink and it really makes the chore of washing the dishes go by faster. I’m thinking of using the space as a kind of “rotating gallery of art” that I’ll change out whenever I need a new pick-me-up. The perfect excuse to buy new art. Don’t you agree?!
I just love the hopeful look of a cluster of newly sharpened pencils, so I couldn’t resist snagging a big box of 35 at my local office supply store (only $5). I have them displayed on top of the main shelf in my office, alongside a jar full of ribbons, and my beautiful stamp set from Besotted.
I’m not particularly in love with my particle board cubby-shelves from Target (but they sure are functional and affordable), so I decided to make them a bit more tolerable by using baskets to keep my favorite craft supplies organized inside several of the sections.
I’ve been trying to get into the habit of sketching up new ideas every night before I go to sleep. This one is “Sisters Dancing”…inspired by my dear friend’s two sweet daughters.
And this little guy is “Stanley.” He’s part of a short series that I’m currently working on and hope to have up in my shop soon!
Thanks for stopping by today friends! Have a wonderful Monday and an amazing week! xo Ez
