Inspired By: Photographer Kevin Russ

The sort of photos I capture with my phone are hardly the sort you’d want printed on your wall (unless half-blurry pet snapshots amuse you). Photographer Kevin Russ however has taken iPhoneography and turned it into an art! His images evoke strong feelings of nostalgia for me…bringing to mind vivid memories of my childhood spent in Montana, Idaho and California. Suffice to say, I fell in love with his work…and then doubly so when I later discovered that it is all captured with a phone. I mean wow! Talk about awe-inspiring! Check out more of Kevin’s photography in his print shop.

oh wow, these are just stunning. i love it when photographers limit themselves to a medium, and become masters of it…sometimes having constraints makes your artwork better – and i think this is a perfect example!

Ez, I know what you mean when you say these photos make you nostalgic…I grew up in Montana and Wyoming and they make me homesick!

These are just beautiful, some people are just so talented with their phone cameras. I'm constantly amazed at the beauty you can find all across instagram, even in a tiny square format there is so much originality and imagination that it's hard not to be inspired. I'm going to check out some more of Kevin's work :)
