Sites for Sore Eyes: Breanna Rose + The Veda House

I came across the work of Breanna Rose and Cassie what seems like ages ago, over on The Veda House blog. What I first fell in love with (and am still in love with) is their Recreate It series…where they break down the elements of a beautiful page layout, and then show us how it is possible to create something with a similar mood on your own. Genius!

I next became enamored with their Backwards Branding posts. The concept is to take an established brand identity and create a moodboard for it (usually it would go from moodboard to brand identity creation). It really is brilliant and such a great exercise to get you out of a creative rut. You could even try it yourself by using magazine clippings, scrapbook papers, etc. if you aren’t handy with Photoshop.

Now Breanna Rose has moved over to her official site and both she and Cassie have continued with the Branding Backwards series – each contributing posts to one another’s sites. So great!

There is a lot more goodness to be found at both The Veda House and Breanna Rose…so skip on over and check them out now. xo Ez

What a fabulous post! You've inspired me to up the ante when I create collages/moodboards of my own jewellery.

Both blogs are so inspiring…I'm going to make myself a coffee and get lost for a few hours! :-)

Thank you for introducing me to another brilliant new blog. I'm loving it and both the Recreateit and Branding Backwards series are amazing. I love seeing inspirations translated in other ways (why I love Creature Comforts so much!) and Branding Backwards can be an excellent tool for business owners to refocus our vision and message. Love it!
