The 15 Friends Project

Several months ago I was invited by Steve & Michelle of Twig Creative to participate in a fun collaborative art challenge that they dreamed up, called 15 Friends Project. The mission was to send two blank canvases out and invite 15 bloggers (separated into two groups) to leave their artistic marks on them. The finished canvases would then be reunited and auctioned off, with half of the proceeds going to charity. Awesome, right?!

Well I received canvas #2 while I was away at Alt Summit and finally had a chance to add to it last night. I decided that the beautiful floral and botanical motifs were calling for a little feathered friend to perch upon them, and glued on a little original painting of mine. You might recognize her from the free Fabruary Calendar Download I shared last week. Then for a little bit of sparkle I added in a few metallic dots using a silver paint pen (I was trying to play off the “galaxy” card that Danni added for her contribution). I’m the last one to contribute to the canvas, so I’ll be sending it back to Steve & Michelle later today so that it can be reunited with canvas #1, and auctioned off for a good cause.
