Inspired Idea: DIY Patch Tights

Right after discovering a tutorial from Stephanie Congdon Barnes on how to make your own Patch Tights I started racking my brain to think of all the girls I know who might like a pair. Aren’t they the cutest? You can imagine customizing the look so easily using different paint colors or even stencil shapes (like maybe hearts or stars for little ones). Adorable!

See the full tutorial on the 3191 Miles Apart blog.

Oh, I saw those tights on ModCloth last night and had the exact same thought! I suppose you could use the same technique, although you'd have to be pretty gifted in order to have results as crisp as the store version. ;-) Sorry yours ripped. That's such a bummer!

I made myself some of these last year! I figured a paint pen would do it and I was right :) I used charcoal grey tights and painted black X shapes over the knees, very cute.
