You are One-Third Daffodil

you are one-third daffodil

Doesn’t this book have a genius title (and excellent jacket design)?!  Talk about happily judging a book by its cover.  You are One-Third Daffodil is a clever compilation of little known facts about life and the world around you, meant to amaze and baffle you.  I love stuff like that!  I haven’t picked up a copy yet, but I can’t wait!

Have you read any good books lately?  I’m in desperate need of something to immerse myself in but haven’t been able to find anything worthwhile in recent months.  I have a Shelfari account, and I’d love to take a look at your “shelves” and add you as a friend if you do too.  Have a wonderful weekend!  xo Ez

I love Danny Gregory books, especially "An Illustrated Life" … If you like art, his books are a "gotta checkout" ^^

    Have a great weekend hun!

I just read The Poisonwood Bible. It’s long and dense, but really wonderful. If you’re looking for something a bit lighter, I highly recommend Dan Savage’s books The Kid and The Commitment. They’re funny, raw and they make you think.

I don’t have much time to read these days. then again, my recommendations
wouldn’t be suitable for you–I’m still into children’s books D:

Have you read "Eat Pray Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert? I didn’t think I’d like it, but I did :)

So fun! Love great covers like that, I always stop to look when I see them in the store. :) I’ve been totally enthralled by Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series – talk about epic stories! Could NOT put them down, devoured them all last summer/fall. Now I have everyone else I know hooked. ;)

I liked the Time Traveler’s Wife. Picking up a well-loved 19th century novel again is always a good choice. :)

I second Brigitte’s recommendation for The Poisonwood Bible, and I add The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Miriel Barbery and The Language of Life by Bill Moyers. Hedgehog took me a little time to get into, but it was wonderful once I did. And Language took me completely by surprise–I took it out from the library intending to flip through it and ended up devouring all 450 pages in 3 days.
